About
Our purpose:
1. To advance the understanding, reflection, and preservation of knowledge on the history of criminological thought and criminal justice practice.
2. To formally bring together scholars applying historical approaches/methodologies in their own work.
3. To provide a forum for an interdisciplinary connection with history.
4. To organize and promote panels at ASC on historical criminology.
5. To provide a service to the ASC through promoting the publication of work preserving the ideas and practices that once populated the field.
